04 · The day
Eight hours, four locations, a crew of four.
A farm at sunrise, a charging station, a downtown street and an apartment, all in one day, with a shot list we checked all day long.

Everyone sees the frame
Dual wireless transmission sent the picture to my AC and to Vincent's monitor, so the director judged every take live while I pulled my own focus.

Natural light first
Mostly a 35mm on sticks, built around the morning sun. Long early shadows got managed on set, not fought in post.

Motion without a dolly
The Ronin 4D with its handles off became a poor man's Steadicam for the car pull-in, smooth enough to feel motivated, quick enough to move on.

Directing a cat
Her story needed a moment with her cat. You don't direct a cat; you set the frame, stay patient and roll.
