What we collect
What you give us. Your name and email when you join the free library or newsletter; your name, email, billing details and any answers you type in when you buy something (for example, the Sprint signup questions); what you write in the contact form or the Unveiled application (your business, pricing ranges, goals, how you found us); and your account details if you join The Imposters membership.
What's collected automatically. Our website platform records basic usage data, like pages visited, referring site, browser, device type and approximate location, using cookies and similar technology.
What we don't collect. We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by our payment processor.
How we use it
- Deliver your downloads, products, workshop seats, coaching and membership access.
- Process payments, including subscriptions and payment-plan installments.
- Answer your messages and review applications.
- Send the emails you signed up for, plus receipts and account notices.
- Understand which pages help people, and improve the site.
- Keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Squarespace: our website, store, forms, membership and email platform.
- Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe) and any other payment processor we use at checkout.
- Google: reCAPTCHA spam protection on forms, and YouTube for embedded or linked videos.
- Discord: if you join our community, Discord's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you share there.
- Video call tools for live workshops and coaching sessions.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We never sell your personal information, and we don't share it for other companies' advertising.
Cookies
Squarespace uses essential cookies to run the site (like keeping items in your cart and keeping you logged in) and analytics cookies to show us how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, like checkout and member login, may not work without them.
Emails
If you join the free library or newsletter, we'll send you emails about the business of video, new resources and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You'll still get transactional emails, like receipts and membership notices, while you have an active purchase or account.
Calls and recordings
Live workshop sessions may be recorded so attendees can watch the replay. If you speak or share your screen in a group session, you may appear in that replay, which is shared only with that workshop's attendees or members. Private 1:1 coaching recordings are never published.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as you have an account, membership or active relationship with us, and afterwards as long as we need it for records, taxes and legal obligations. Form messages and applications that don't become work are deleted periodically.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, or to stop emailing you. Email chris@beautyisveiled.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law; we'll honor them.
Security
We use reputable platforms with encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limit who can access your information. No system is perfect, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and will tell you if something goes wrong that affects you.
Children
This site is for adults and business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. The latest version and date will always be on this page.
